Luke has been a family dog since he was a puppy.  He has lived his whole life with other dogs his size.  Luke was adopted along with his a female litter mate, then a male border joined the family when they were about two years old.

Luke likes to snuggle in bed at night and will steal the whole bed if allowed.  He likes to jump up on greetings.  He also will sneak a nose nip giving kisses.  His personality can be best described as happy-go-lucky/ hyperactive.  He is very smart, can/will learn what you want quickly, but doesn’t expect he has to obey in every situation.  He is a little anxious in new situations and will shy away until he is familiar with the surroundings.

He is very easily distracted.  He loves to play fetch with a ball.  He will bring it back and drop it as many times as you throw it.  He also likes to chase the critters in the yard: grasshoppers, turtles, squirrels, groundhogs, and even birds in the sky!  He shouldn’t be in a home with small dogs or cats since he has a high prey drive. 

On a leash, Luke can become a puller, if allowed.  He likes to go at a quick pace, but will respond to redirection and verbal cues of leash.

I would not trust him off leash since he has not been trained/allowed.
